In the last few years, ease of stock trading / investment transactions through discount brokers and trading interface on mobile applications has led to a larger number of participants in the Stock Markets.

However, fetching the relevant and required details for Income Tax filings continue to be cumbersome.

Moreover, on account of large Trading Volumes and if the assessee has any other business activity also; there may be a requirement for maintenance of books of accounts and Audit also including in respect of Trading (F&O) in Equity & derivatives Markets.

We have developed an MS-Excel Utility software (starting with Zerodha Console) that will prepare

1. Financial Statements such as Balance Sheet and Income & Expenditure Account
2. Detailed Schedules to Financial Statements
3. LTCG Schedule as per ITR 2 / ITR 3 format
4. Breakup of Capital Gains and Dividend as per Advance Tax due dates.

User can prepare the same in 3 easy steps

Step 1 : User needs to download the following statements for previous Financial Year from Zerodha Console portal.

1. Ledger Statement
2. Tradebook
3. Opening Holdings – Close of business on the last day (31 March) of immediately preceding FY.
4. Closing Holdings – on the last day of FY (31 March).
5. Tax PNL statement for all 4 quarters.

Step 2: Specify the File path in our Excel Macro File

Step 3: Click on Import and Process.
