The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 mandates every food business operator to obtain an FSSAI license or registration before commencing any food business.
That vide order dated 8th June,2021, FSSAI mandates printing of FSSAI number on cash receipts/ purchase invoices/cash memo /bills, etc. by all food businesses. The only exemption will be the GST e-way bill and such other govt. documents that are system generated. Please also refer FSSAI order vide 15(31)2020/FoSCoS/RCD/FSSAI dated 8th June 2021. This mandate has come into effect from the extended date of 1st January, 2022.
One may include FSSAI License No in Address section of Accounting Package / ERP to print the same on their Accounting Documents such as Invoices, Ledgers, etc.
We have developed a TDL to record the FSSAI License of Supplier / Buyer (Trading Partner) as well.
